Before the ceiling closes
Your plan is drawn. Rough in is coming. And the electrician is about to ask, where do you want your lights?
Most new homes get a grid of downlights, one colour nobody checked, and a bathroom that feels like a hospital. Once the plaster is up, fixing any of it means cutting the ceiling back open.
I'm Mani from MSN Developments. I design floor plans and I build homes in Melbourne. Each short episode takes one lighting decision you have to make before the ceiling closes, tells you what we did at Wimbledon, our duplex in St Kilda East, and gives you three steps and one question to ask your electrician.
Kitchen strips, downlights, colour temperature, pendants, bathrooms, natural light and the nine questions to hand your electrician.
